History of the NUM Study Network

04/2025 Receipt of the grant notification for the NUM Study Network in the framework of NUM 3.0 for the implementation phase and second funding period 07/2025-06/2030. 10 more study sites join the NUM Study Network in the framework of the initiated Specialty Networks Critical Care and Stroke are initiated.

04/2025 Receipt of the grant notification for the Specialty Network Infectious Diseases (SNID) in the framework of NUM 3.0 for the implementation phase and second funding period (07/2025-06/2030).

10/2024 First submission of a proposal for the continuation of the Specialty Network Infectious Diseases (SNID) as part of the NUM Study Network in the framework of NUM 3.0

10/2024 First submission of a proposal for the continuation of the NUM Study Network in the framework of NUM 3.0 - including support for the development of the Specialty Networks Critial Care and Stroke.

07/2024 - 06/2025 Construction and piloting phase of the NUM Study Network and the Specialty Network Infectous Diseases (SNID) with 15 study sites.

11/2024 Receipt of the grant notification for the piloting phase of the NUM Study Network and the Specialty Network Infectious Diseases

  • Continuation of NAPKON.v2 as a recruitment network and prospective cohort study on COVID-19

  • NAPKON consisting of governance, cohort structure, and methodological cores: Interaction Core Unit (ICU), Biosample Core Unit (BCU), Epidemiological Core Unit (ECU), IGCU (Integration Core Unit).

  • Collaboration with the research data infrastructure of the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (Deutsches Zentrum für Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung, DZHK)

  • Establishment of subject- and organ-specific working groups (Fach- und Organspezifische Arbeitsgruppen, FOSAs)
